Apply for your BASE number

BASE logo_edited.jpg
You did the work. Now claim your spot in history.

Earning a BASE number is a rite of passage. It means you’ve pushed past the boundaries, respected the sport, stood on top of (and safely exited from) all four objects: Building, Antenna, Span, and Earth. World BASE Numbers and Night BASE Numbers were started by Carl and Jean Boenish in January 1981 when the first BASE number was earned, and continue to this day.

If you’ve checked all four boxes, you’ve earned your place in the lineage. Let’s make it official.

The Requirements

Before you hit submit, ensure you meet the official criteria:

  • Building: A successful jump from a man-made building/skyscraper (*jumps from smoke stacks, windmills, etc. do not qualify)

  • Antenna: A successful jump from a radio / communication antenna.

  • Span: A successful jump from a bridge.

  • Earth: A successful jump from a natural cliff or formation.

Ready to Apply?

Step 1 - Make a donation below (minimum of $5 to cover the cost of printing / postage of your official BASE Number card)

Step 2 - Send us an email containing:

  • Details of your 4 qualifying jumps (including date, time, location / object name, object height, etc. The time of the qualifying jump is important in case someone else in the world qualified on the same day.)

  • Any descriptions of the jumps, or jump stories, will be appreciated as we enjoy them. (Of course, they will remain confidential.)

  • Include the address where you'd like your card to be sent

Step 3 - Once our team at BASE ACCESS verifies your submission, you will be issued your official, sequential BASE Number.

NOTE: If you are unable to apply electronically you can also send a written application to:

    BASE ACCESS

    2975 Bluegrass Lane

    Unit 322

    Henderson, NV 89074

If you do apply via written / mailed application, please include the information listed above and include a minimum of $5 (either cash payable in US Dollars or check made payable to BASE ACCESS). A self addressed return envelope is also helpful but not required.

Additional Notes:
  • We typically wait a minimum of 30 days to issue a BASE number to allow adequate time for all applications to be received in a given time period. Expect a few weeks for us to verify the details and issue your official number.

  • In respect for privacy of individuals, and integrity of the BASE Numbers, we will never share jumper information publicly. The original BASE Constitution from the United States BASE Association required confidentiality and we strictly adhere to the original structure put in place.
